Welcome to the Virtual Emsworth Show

The Emsworth Show goes digital with a new Virtual Experience!

The greatest little show in the South has gone digital for the first time in over 100 years, and we will be bringing you a new virtual experience from the Emsworth Show this summer to lift your spirits and reflect on the good things that have come out of these challenging times, and to inspire our local communities to grow together.

There will be no entry fees and no cups, medals or prizes awarded this year. The Emsworth Virtual Show is an opportunity for members of the Emsworth Horticultural Society and residents living within Hampshire and West Sussex to showcase their skills and talent in horticulture and other areas to a wider audience, and to encourage people all around the world to get growing.

We particularly want to encourage our young people to discover the joys of horticulture, handicrafts, cookery, and photography.

We also invite local businesses, stallholders and entertainers who regularly attend our show to get involved and upload their logo, a brief company profile (maximum of 35 words) and a landscape 30 second video or photo to our Entertainment, Stallholders and Traders’ Room as an exciting preview for our 2021 Show, and so that we can support you and your business, to keep your business alive and to build your online presence.

Faith Ponsonby, Chairperson said: “It was heart-breaking to have to cancel the fabulous Emsworth Show this year, but with a lot of help from our small publicity team, we have managed to give everyone something to look forward to, and a taste of things to come with our first ever Virtual Show. I hope you will be inspired to enter several photos in different classes, and then some real one’s next year at our 2021 show.  I am really looking forward to the Virtual tours, a ‘peep’ into our members’ gardens and/or allotments, as well as the ‘tastes’ from some of the arena events we hope to have in 2021. So do join us in celebrating our wonderful natural and creative world on 30th-31st August 2020!”

Cllr Diana Patrick, The immediate past Mayor of Havant said: “This is a really amazing show with something for everyone. As a keen gardener, I was enthralled last year by the produce and floral displays in the tents, but also by the very diverse stalls. You can easily put aside at least three to four hours to enjoy everything that is on offer. Sadly, as there cannot be a Show this year, the Virtual Show will give everyone a chance to put photos in showing how they have been occupying themselves – I might even enter myself!

Get involved and support our Virtual Show, and help us to showcase the best of Horticulture, Crafts and Photography in and around Emsworth, Hampshire, West Sussex and beyond!
